Classic Spider Resonator Cone - 10 9/16

The "Classic 10 1/2" Series spider-style cone from Replogle Reso is hand-spun in California, adhering to exacting specifications and high tolerances. Crafted using a specialized hardened aluminum alloy, this cone delivers maximum strength, tone, projection, and sustain in spider-style resonator guitars. This cone is the "Original Equipment" (OEM) replacement for Dobros manufactured since the late 1960s, and it is the same cone used in USA-made Dobro-brand guitars produced by the Original Musical Instrument Company (OMI) and the Original Acoustic Instrument (OAI) companies under Gibson Guitar since the mid-1990s.

Until recently, Replogle cones were only available directly to custom builders and manufacturers, having been used by OMI, OAI, Gibson, Scheerhorn, Crafters of Tennessee, Beard, Owens, Wechter, Weber, and Regal (Saga Music), among others. Now, these OEM cones are available directly to individual players and builders around the world.

The legacy of the authentic Dobro cones is preserved through Mike Replogle's dedication. Replogle learned the art of hand-spinning resonators directly from "the Old Man," an old-school metal spinner who immigrated to the US and was the spinner-behind-the-scenes for nearly every resonator since the 1960s. Under the Old Man's direct tutelage during his retirement, Replogle studied, practiced, and perfected his hand-spinning technique, ensuring the continuation of this artisanal craft for future generations.
