The koa base with a full ebony cap configuration is a variation that is available for those players that use string sets of heavier gauges, giving an even tone on those special sets, yielding a much more even and balanced sound.

Reso guitars are infamous for intonation problems. Another Replogle innovation is to carve the saddle under the first two plain strings, and then smoothly angling the other four wound strings to greatly improve the intonation. The saddle requires final trimming and slotting.

Solid hand-selected Koa and Full ebony cap for heavy string balance, tone, and sustain. Shaped & Compensated for intonation, the saddle fits both spider-bridge and biscuit-bridge resonator guitars. The dimensions of the saddle are 2-5/8″ x 3/4″ x 1/8″ (66.68mm x 19.05mm x 3.18mm), and final trimming and slotting is required.
