Replogle Reso REP-B8 Resonator Mandolin/Ukulele Cone

The Replogle Reso Mando/Uke Series biscuit-bridge style cone is hand spun in California to exacting specifications and high tolerances using a special hardened aluminum alloy for maximum strength, tone, projection, and sustain. Until recently, Replogle cones have only been available directly to custom builders and manufacturers; now, these "Original Equipment" (OEM) cones are available directly to individual players and builders around the world.

The small 8" biscuit-style cone diameter delivers the projection and sustain characteristic of the traditional vintage Dobro mandolins. Mike Replogle learned the art of hand-spinning resonators directly from "the Old Man," an old-school metal spinner who immigrated to the US and was the spinner-behind-the-scenes for nearly every resonator since the 1960's. Replogle studied, practiced, and perfected his hand-spinning technique under the direct tutelage of the Old Man in his retirement, preserving the legacy of the authentic Dobro cones for future generations.

The biscuit platform measures approximately 2.25" in diameter.
